GALA
Each spring, Cappies students celebrate each others' achievements at the Cappies Gala, a Tony's-esque award ceremony.
This year's gala will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 7pm at the Aronoff Center for the Arts' Procter and Gamble Theatre! The dress rehearsal time slots will be sent to directors for times on Tuesday, May 27 from 5pm to 9:30pm.
Across 25 categories celebrating tech, performance, overall production, and critiques, hundreds of students were honored as nominees and winners. Each school also designates several students as honorees, marked by distinct medallions.
HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Ticket information will be distributed to students after voting has concluded. For general purchases, call the Cincinnati Arts Association Box Office to purchase tickets: 513-621-2787 (ARTS) or visit CincinnatiArts.org.
Tickets are $25 for all nominees, commendees, and critics as well as families and friends. It is best to purchase your family and friend tickets as a group so that you can sit together. Tickets typically go on sale a few weeks prior to the Gala at the Aronoff Box Office for families, friends, and the general public.
Tickets for nominees, commendees, and critics will be purchased at the Director’s Reception. These tickets will be mailed or hand-delivered to each school’s director or advisor for distribution to the students prior to the Gala. There will be NO Will Call for ticket pickup as each school will have them in advance.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION
Schools chosen to perform an excerpt of a play, musical or a song
will rehearse at the Aronoff Center in a select time slot on Tuesday, May 27
from 5pm to 9:30pm. Details will be sent to directors of nominated shows.
