The Greater Cincinnati chapter champions 21st Century learning by training high school theatre and journalism students to write better, think critically, and lead with purpose.
Each year, student critics vote to honor outstanding productions, performances, technical work, and writing. Awards are presented at the annual Cappies Gala at the Aronoff Center. We are proud to be part of the National Cappies Organization.

Join the Cappies!
Greater Cincinnati Cappies empowers high school students to discover their voices and grow as creative thinkers, accomplished writers, skilled collaborators, confident leaders, and lifelong champions of the arts.
Participating schools form teams of student critics who attend plays and musicals at high schools throughout Greater Cincinnati. After each performance, critics come together to discuss the production, share perspectives, and write thoughtful reviews. Along the way, students experience outstanding high school theatre across the region and build connections with peers from other schools who share their passion for the performing arts.
